The densest thing we make. It melts on contact, spreads thinner than it looks, and re-forms overnight into a film that stays where you put it.

The feel

It is supposed to feel like something.

Most of this category is engineered to disappear. This is engineered to stay. The first minute is dense and slightly tacky — that is the film closing. After that you stop noticing it, until you touch your face in the morning and it is still there.

Texture

Fluid, fast, no white pull on darker skin

The feel

3 actives. No filler story.

These are the actives the packaging names. Percentages go here once the manufacturing spec is signed off — not before.

NAD+

A coenzyme cells use to keep their own repair machinery running

Hyaluronic Acid

Binds many times its weight in water and keeps it there

Panthenol

Softens the surface while the rest of the formula works

What it will not do.

It will not reverse anything. Nothing in a jar does. What it will do is give a tired barrier a dense, uninterrupted film to sit under while it does its own repair — and leave a low light on the surface in the meantime.

If you want the number version of that, wait for the panel results. We would rather publish them late than write them early.

How to use it.

01

Two fingers' worth

The amount everyone under-applies. Measure it once so you know what it looks like.

02

Last step of the morning

Nothing skincare goes on top. Makeup can.

03

Again at midday if you are out

No filter lasts a whole day of real sun, whatever the number says.

Questions

Answered plainly, or not at all.

Where the honest answer is “we do not know yet”, that is what it says. Nothing here is filled in to look complete.

Why does the pack say PA+++ and the site say something different?

PA is the Asian rating system for UVA protection. The FDA does not recognise it, so the United States carton has to read 'Broad Spectrum SPF 50' instead. That relabel and the OTC filing behind it are in progress. [OTC MONOGRAPH — PENDING]

Chemical or mineral filters?

The filter system depends on which are cleared for the U.S. monograph route, which is exactly what is being worked out. It will be stated here and on the carton before anything ships.

Can I use this with a retinoid or an acid?

Yes, on alternating nights to start. Melt Halo formulas are not exfoliating and are not acidic, so they are not competing with your actives — but a barrier that is already reacting does not need two new inputs in the same week.
